Download the spreadsheet and adjust it as you see fit, or create/source your own. There is a spreadsheet designed to be used in conjunction with this guide. You can ping almost anything in the zoo, so try it out as there may be other Pings that you find useful. Animal Level shows the level of every animal on the screen, which is useful when you are waiting for animals to reach level 15 so you can release them. Animal Species shows the location of all your animals, which is useful if you need to take a photograph of, or otherwise locate, a specific animal.
The two most useful pings are Animal Species and Animal Level. You can select the type of ping you want with and as indicated in the bottom right of the screen. Rather than having to press over and over to go back through a menu chain, will usually, but not always, take you straight out of the menus and back to the zoo. It provides extra information which is very useful in both managing the zoo and setting up exhibits. Holding is your go-to control in the game.
This should only be noticeable in the first Challenge zoo. Eventually, your zoo will grow so large that it becomes virtually impossible to fully satisfy guests needs but it should just plateau rather than come crashing down. You can offset the loss of income by building concessions and setting their price to high.

You will see each happiness level listed with a percentage next to it. A handy tool in relation to happiness is located under Economy Breakdown in the Zoo Menu.
